When the Rain Comes

A lot of this is just practice, but I'll post em here anyway. A little story about Sara and Michael that went through my mind as I drew this:

Sara heard the door creak open and closed as she rested her head on the table with her arms around. Her phone slipped out of her hand and landed on the table with a thump. The news she just heard and the pain she felt was unbearable.
Michael dropped the keys into the dish on the table next to the door. "Hey, honey. Is everything alright?" He went over to her and put his hand on her back.
She lifted her head to look at her husband. "You know those tests they ran on me the last time I went to the doctor?" The tears came to her eyes, but she fought every single attempt the tears made to hold them back as long as possible.
"Yes, those were the tests to determine why we haven't been able to have a baby, right?" He leaned over to make better eye contact with Sara.
"The doctor called back today." She was holding back tears and a sob and swallowed hard. "He…he told me I'm never going to be able to have children!" The tears so dutifully held back spilled forth in streams down her face. "I know I said i didn't really want to have children, but I didn't mean it to be this way!" She sobbed. "I'm so sorry, Michael!"
A look of disappointment covered Michael's face as he drew her close to him. "I'm sorry, my love."
"I blame myself for all of this!" She bawled. It felt like nothing could comfort her. "I didn't mean to wish this on us at all. I wanted to do this for you because I knew how important having a child was to you." Sara buried her head into his shoulder.
"I understand, and please don't blame yourself." Michael sighed a deep sigh and squeezed her tight. "The Lord is in control. He knows what he's doing, and he never makes mistakes." He replied softly to her.

For anyone who is going through tough times, the loss of a loved one, loss of a baby, financial trouble, regretting poor decisions that were made, or even just feeling blue all the time. We've all been there, and it's going to be all right. Not only will someone be there for you, but the Lord draws us to trust in him in many ways, and often through our pain. Turn to Jesus, run far away from your sin(our disobedience to God's laws). Trust that Jesus has paid the price for our sin.

"because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.”" Romans 10:9-11 (ESV)
I can't stop the rain from falling down on you again, but I'll hold you till it goes away.
